Thomas: I think you are after truth but also enjoy being a bit of the provocateur, and perhaps we need that. If I take a central idea from this piece, it's that we are way too wrapped up in the fleeting and the illusory and are missing some vital and profound essence, and if we keep this up we'll live and exist in a compromised fashion. If we push that out to its extremes, is that where we get war, and what we call mental illness? Is the ultimate purpose in stripping away all our badly constructed explanations about the world to live more deeply, more authentically, and to stop all the misery we place on each other? Or have I pushed your idea out into a social realm where it doesn't really belong?
