This was, and is, a beautiful piece of film-making, artful and emotional, timely and timeless. San Francisco is a complicated place and Jimmy Fails is the kind of lead character whose experience resonates, as you put it, for the ages. Well-written piece about a film deserving this kind of attention. Like many of us -- and literature and film have done a good job of capturing this vital human desire -- Jimmy Fails just wants to go home. That doesn't seem like it's too much to ask, until you try it, and find out what has changed.
