This piece is strong and simple and describes the people I looked up to when I was young and trying to figure out how to be a man. I would ask myself, 'Why are they at the top of their game?' - it could be very different for different people but they were maximizing themselves, comfortable in their own skin, and one of my conclusions was that they sent good messages to themselves -- if they quit a job, they walked in and told the boss, I quit - no hiding or fake moves to Topeka. If they made a commitment they finished it, where others faded and said nothing to anyone. They were interested in others, you could see their eyes flash if someone did something or said something interesting. I still seek out those people today, and tried to grow into one of them myself. A work in progress ....... and a piece like this spreads the message. Thanks!
