This is just sweet and simple and true. Extrapolate it to all human relations and we are in a better place, but to hear half of those phrases whispered in my ear over the course of a year would be a great fundamental grounding for the relationship. I'm going to have to train myself not to expect these and not to be disappointed if they aren't forthcoming. Some equivalent will be there if things are connecting as they should in a strong relationship.
