Ronald: At age 69 it's heartening to read the adventures and memories of a robust 84 year-old. I share much of the emotional content that graces your work: memories that are a mixture of gratitude and sadness, a deep melancholy when viewing the images of a pre-technology world. And your friend whose wife just wanted to be done with him and keep the daughter to herself ........ I've been there, seen many people in that awful situation, and yet we get it together and have much to be thankful for and avoid wrapping the car around a pole. We've all had the glorious summer at the swimming hole; I recognized it immediately. You're a "Greatest Generation" member; a few years after you the "Baby Boom" began. What lives we've been able to lead! And still going strong.
