Laura, sorry you had to go through all that. People come to adulthood largely unfinished, and often very damaged. It was good to hear that some men were beyond all that and were part of your journey back — not purposely, as they were just being with you from the way you describe it. You have insight, empathy, depth and perspective, and you’re affectionate too. Seems like a pretty good combination to me.
