I’m blown away he didn’t show. I thought you were operating at the just the right level, came off as fun and interesting, and how many women like you is he going to meet? So it’s either the macho thing the one guy told you about (which I’m not sure I understand) or he thought you were not interested and the date was fake on your end (because I can’t imagine leaving you sitting there). You’ll run into him again and one look and he’ll realize what he missed. Good story from a literary perspective.
