I live in a town where a small, intense group of zealots -- maybe 10-15% of the population -- dominate the dialogue and keep people on edge and fearful. Why is that? Will they smear a few reputations? Throw a brick through a window? In the States where the governor is initiating bans, are they really representing the citizens? It's a phenomenon we need to analyze, because I don't want to keep fighting this battle for eternity. There'a a winning strategy out there somewhere, because more people are on the correct side of this. And in closing: Great vignette about the librarian and the teacher with the defensive chops in basketball. Glad they were there for you and that you are able to honor them.
