I can't help but shed a few tears after I read something like this. There was actually a couple who wouldn't sit at the table with a person of a different race, and they were friends with the couple throwing the party? Did the party-throwers find out just then about the racism? How do people actually justify this? What goes on in their heads? I have a friend who says, 'I don't care what goes on in their heads. Better I don't know.' Maybe he's right; he doesn't want to risk feeling anything for them. This is a new day: call out racism wherever we see it. Looking to keep the peace is a failed strategy.
