I am pained by the experiences the young women were forced to endure. With these incidents continuing to occur, it strikes me that our current punishments aren't working. There needs to be a public acknowledgment of the perpetrators and communities need to demonstrate a complete disapproval of their behavior. A form of shaming, which I normally would avoid, but it seems fitting here.
