Colleen: He is truly contemptible in all you describe, but the hocking of the wedding ring strikes me as the beginning of closure for you. You wanted the marriage to end; were you hurt because he wanted no memory of it? Was it that he wouldn't give any of the "regular" money to food for the kids? What am I missing here?
