Ben: In your review it was apparent that you saw the vapid and idiotic humor of the writers, and I would like to take it a step further. I found almost no value in any of it, except perhaps the sexiness of "Baptize Me." And at its very worst, the portrayal of the Africans was racist and filled with the kind of stereotypes a 3rd grader might come up with. There was one joke about the Pope, if I recall correctly, and one about Judaism, just to make sure they spread the juvenile humor around. I don't know about Tony Awards, and I can read that most of the other responses found it hilarious. I wanted to put my two cents in about what I consider to be a pretty repulsive piece of theater.
